Editorial Policy

Routine Prints publishes consumer print reviews, comparisons, best-of guides, and practical buying advice. The goal is to help readers choose products and services without needing to become print technicians first. Coverage focuses on details that can change an order’s value or outcome, including materials, finish, print quality, design tools, proofing, price, turnaround, shipping, and customer support.

Accuracy and useful evidence

Factual claims should come from a relevant, identifiable source. For technical specifications, current prices, product options, software features, turnaround times, shipping terms, and provider policies, we prioritize current primary documentation. Because these details can change, articles should state when information was checked when timing materially affects a recommendation.

We distinguish among official supplier statements, documented firsthand work, customer or community experience, and Routine Prints editorial judgment. A provider’s published claim is presented as its claim rather than as an independently confirmed result. Firsthand testing, purchases, samples, or support interactions are described only when they are part of the documented article record.

Comparisons and recommendations

Comparisons use like-for-like products and configurations where practical. We consider the criteria that matter for the specific purchase rather than forcing every product into the same template. Paper feel may carry more weight for invitations, for example, while binding and page behavior matter more in a photo book format comparison.

Recommendations are tied to defined needs such as value, ease of use, premium materials, turnaround, or configuration choice. We separate evidence from opinion and explain the reasoning behind editorial conclusions. Words such as “best” should identify the buyer or use case, not suggest that one option is ideal for everyone.

Images and attribution

Editorial artwork is treated as illustration. Screenshots, documentary images, quotations, specifications, and other sourced material should be identified or attributed where appropriate. Visuals should clarify the subject rather than imply evidence that an article does not have.

Corrections

We correct material factual errors when they are identified. To report a possible error, email contact@routineprints.com with the article URL, the statement in question, and supporting evidence. Clear documentation helps us assess the issue and make an accurate correction. Information about messages and privacy requests is available in our Privacy Policy.
